Kansas Half Marathon – April 22, 2012

The Kansas Half Marathon is new and improved for 2012 and registration is now open!  The USATF certified course, which starts and finishes at Haskell Indian Nations University, has been modified to improve the accuracy and experience for participants.  The post race food, entertainment, technical shirts and finisher medals for half marathon finishers will also make this event an annual favorite.

In addition to the half marathon event, the Kansas Half Marathon also includes a 10K, 5K and 1K Kids Fun Run!  The 10K and 5K events will also start and finish at Haskell Indian Nations University, following the start of the half marathon (exact starting times still to be determined), and will utilize portions of the half marathon course in and around downtown Lawrence.  The 1K Kids Fun Run is a free event that is designed for kids 12 years old and younger and parents will still be required to register their child in the 1K Kids Fun Run using online registration or the downloadable registration form.

Health Care Access Clinic is proud to present this event, the proceeds of which will support their mission to facilitate access to health services for residents of Douglas County.  Through their new partnership with KC Running Company for the 2012 event and the addition of the Kansas Half Marathon to the Heartland 39.3 Series of area half marathons, they are expecting this year’s event to be the most popular to date!

Sign up today for the Kansas Half Marathon and be a part of the rebirth of this great event!
